If you live in the Glenview area, we are your “Chevy dealership near me.” And, as Chevy dealers, we know efficiency is a huge factor in the car buying decision of our Illinois customers. If you’re looking for a truck that won’t break the bank every time you visit the gas station, we think you should consider the upcoming 2020 Chevy Silverado.

The Chevy Silverado has long been a fan favorite for its power and towing capacity, but now it is stunning drivers with extra efficiency options, too. The 2020 Chevy Silverado gets up to 33 miles per gallon on the highway, beating out its closest competitor, the Ford F-150, which gets only 30 mpg. This extra efficiency can be attributed to the new, optional 3.0-liter turbodiesel Duramax inline-six engine.

According to Car and Driver, this rear-wheel-drive model is “pushing the envelope for full-size pickup fuel economy” to claim the top spot for efficiency among the other mid-size pickups in its class. These 23 city and 33 highway mpg ratings apply regardless of cab configuration or bed length. Additionally, this special diesel option is available for both double-cab and crew-cab models. The four-wheel-drive version has slightly different fuel stats but is still impressive in its own right.

These fuel efficiency stats make the 2020 Chevy Silverado great for families on a budget, but also small business owners who want power without high fuel costs. As the experts continue to test and learn more about the 2020 Chevy Silverado, we’ll gladly share any new information with you. We can’t wait to see the new 2020 Chevy Silverado on our lot later this year. Come see us today near Chicago to chat more about this truck or any of our other Chevy models.
