2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Details
This Chevy truck has been a fan favorite half-ton model for years and it was redesigned just last year. For 2020, the Chevy Silverado gets some upgrades including making the 6.2-liter V8 and ten-speed automatic transmission more widely available across the lineup. The newest version of the Chevy Silverado 1500 can get up to 33 miles per gallon on the highway, so you aren’t sacrificing efficiency for power.
Also added for this year is a Duramax diesel 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine. The V8 versions can get up to 420 horsepower, allowing them to get to 60 mph in only 5.4 seconds. However, even the smaller engines are performance-oriented enough for towing and hauling all year round – up to 13,400 pounds (up 1,200 pounds from the outgoing model).
The Chevy Silverado 1500 comes in six trim options so you can have that custom feel – whether you plan on taking this truck off-road or not. One of our favorite packages to recommend to Northbrook-area drivers is the convenience package which includes 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, remote start, heated leather wrapped steering wheel, and more.
For this year, there are also more driver and towing assists available in this truck. Adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and other available features make this model a great option for families looking for an extra safety boost.
